EIPA Day 2026

At the EDHEC Infrastructure & Private Assets Day 2026, taking place on Tuesday, 8 December in London, Scientific Climate Ratings will be hosting a session entitled “From Climate Risk to Asset Value: Measuring the Financial Impact of Climate Risk on Infrastructure Debt and Equity“.

During the session, Scientific Climate Ratings, will be sharing preliminary findings from its work assessing the financial impact of climate risk on infrastructure assets. The presentation will explore how different climate scenarios translate into changes in asset value, and importantly, how these impacts differ between infrastructure equity and debt.

The research highlights a significant difference between the two: under the expected climate scenario, the estimated portfolio-level value loss by 2050 is 21% for equity compared with 2.3% for debt.

The session will provide a particularly relevant perspective on the real-world challenges of valuing private assets, complementing the broader discussions on valuation and the application of the Total Portfolio Approach when portfolios include unlisted assets.

EIPA Day 2026 will bring together leading investors, asset owners, academics and industry experts to examine some of the key challenges facing private assets today — from valuation and portfolio construction to private debt, infrastructure and private equity.
