Dans le cadre des French FinTech Weeks #FFTW26, coorganisées par l’ACPR, l’AMF et France FinTech, EDHEC Climate Institute, Scientific Climate Ratings et Scientific Climate Indices (SciX) vous invitent à une demi-journée de conférence explorant comment les avancées en science climatique, les données scientifiques et les nouvelles technologies financières permettent de mieux mesurer et intégrer le risque climatique dans les décisions d’investissement.

Des scénarios climatiques à la modélisation du risque physique, en passant par les ratings, les indices et les données répondant aux exigences réglementaires, la conférence réunira chercheurs, spécialistes des données climatiques et financières, fintechs et praticiens du marché pour examiner comment la recherche climatique peut se traduire en outils financiers actionnables.

Le programme explorera:

• Le risque physique, des impacts hyperlocaux à leurs effets sur les économies et les marchés financiers
• Les scénarios climatiques probabilisés et leurs implications sur la valorisation des actifs et la gestion des risques
• La traduction de la science climatique en ratings et en indices intégrant la résilience climatique
• Comment l’IA, les données satellitaires et les technologies géospatiales permettent d’anticiper les risques physiques, notamment les incendies de forêt
• L’évolution des besoins des investisseurs et des institutions financières, à mesure que données climatiques, réglementation, regtech et applications d’investissement convergent

La matinée débutera par une session consacrée aux travaux de recherche appliquée de l’EDHEC Climate Institute, suivie de deux tables rondes réunissant Scientific Climate Ratings, Scientific Climate Indices (SciX), ClimateInnov, Sequantis et Weastem.

L’événement sera l’occasion d’échanger à la fois sur les fondements scientifiques de l’évaluation du risque climatique et sur les défis pratiques liés à la transformation de ces connaissances en outils d’aide à la décision financière.

From climate scenarios and physical risk modelling to ratings, indices and regulatory-ready data, the conference will bring together researchers, climate and financial data specialists, fintechs and market practitioners to examine how climate research can be translated into actionable financial tools.

The programme will explore:

• Physical climate risk, from hyperlocal impacts to their effects on economies and financial markets
• Probabilistic climate scenarios and their implications for asset valuation and risk management
• The translation of climate science into investment-grade ratings and climate-resilient indices
• How AI, satellite data and geospatial technologies can help anticipate physical risks, including wildfires
• The evolving needs of investors and financial institutions as climate data, regulation, regtech and investment applications converge

The morning will combine applied research from the EDHEC Climate Institute with two panel discussions bringing together Scientific Climate Ratings, Scientific Climate Indices (SciX), ClimateInnov, Sequantis and Weastem.

The event will offer an opportunity to discuss both the scientific foundations of climate risk assessment and the practical challenges of turning this knowledge into actionable tools for financial markets.
